We offer a range of activities that make Lemonthyme an inviting choice for your stay in the Cradle Mountain region.

A-la-carte restaurant

Restaurant

For lovers of food and wine, experience the very best Tasmanian produce in the Whispering Woods restaurant - open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Vegetarian and gluten free dietary requirements are catered for. Please advise reception prior to arrival.

Evening dinner provides a choice from our a-la-carte menu.

There is also a separate children’s menu.

Lounge Bar

Our licenced bar provides a limited but carefully selected representation of Tasmanian wines and beers by both region and variety.

Whether on the veranda on a sunny afternoon, by the roaring log fire when the air outside is crisp or with dinner at evening time you are sure to find a pleasant sensation on your palate and response to the need to quench your thirst.

Lemonthyme Bush Walking

Bush Walking

Our bush trails allow you to explore a marvellous example of Tasmania’s tranquil temperate rain forest.

From 30 minutes to 2 hours duration the highlights include Champagne, Bridal Veil the Big Tree and Lake Cethana.

You’ll be truly enchanted by the inspiring variety of flora and, if you are alert, the native wildlife and birdlife.

Activities near Cradle Mountain

Animal Feeding

Each evening our staff serve a feast of vegetable peelings and fruit to the clan of native wildlife including pademelons and possums that assemble off the Lodge’s back veranda.

This is a great opportunity to capture a photo of some of Tasmania’s most familiar native wildlife.

TV Room

TV Theatrette

Featuring a big screen TV the theatrette is located on the first floor of the lodge.

Guests are welcome to watch television or dvd’s and the theatrette may be reserved upon request.

Due to our remote location TV reception may be variable. A selection of dvd’s is available from the souvenir shop.

Lemonthyme Mountain Bikes

Mountain Bikes

For those seeking some more vigorous activity there are mountain bikes available free of charge.

A number of our bush trails are suitable for riding with varying degrees of challenge.
